Separation or processing of residual materials can also be carried out by 'people at a distance from the labour market' (such as WWB, WSW and Wajong disability and incapacity benefits). This can take place at our Innovation Plant in the Rotterdam Europoort. As an extension of social entrepreneurship, our participation in DWZ is also an important element. These activities can therefore also be carried out at our special learning and working company in Goes, where people at a distance from the labour market are given the opportunity, under professional supervision, to gain work experience in a protected working environment.
Two thirds of employers consider it (to some extent) a responsibility to hire people with an occupational disability. That is a result of the recent SCP publication: (Source: "Arbeidsmarkt in kaart: werkgevers editie 2"). The share of employers who think they will hire (more) people from this target group in the coming 2 years is limited: 11%. These percentages are comparable to those of 2015/'16. This means that, unfortunately, little has changed. Of course, the implementation of this policy requires a lot of specific expertise and especially time for companies. Our knowledge and advice centre In2Waste is your ideal partner to comply with the participation act!
